January 19, 2026 — Sony Hall, NYC
On January 19, 2026, I attended the Glam Awards at Sony Hall after purchasing 15 VIP tickets advertised with guaranteed seating, totaling $675. My party included four Glam Awards nominees.
Approximately 45 minutes into the event, 11 members of my party remained standing in the back of the venue with obstructed sightlines. Multiple attempts to seek assistance from event staff were unsuccessful. Venue staff indicated they did not work for the event and were unable to locate event leadership.
During this time, a VIP section reserved for personal guests of event leadership remained completely empty.
Because my group held valid VIP tickets and had been left without assistance, we seated ourselves in this unused VIP section.
At that point, Cherry Jubilee approached and demanded that we leave the area. I calmly explained that:
We held VIP tickets with guaranteed seating
We had been standing for nearly an hour
The section was empty
We could not see the stage from the back
Ms. Jubilee stated that nominees were not allowed to sit because they were allegedly given “free standing tickets.” I corrected her and explained that all 15 of us were VIP ticket holders.
I then introduced myself and asked how much of my $675 purchase she intended to refund, given that guaranteed seating had not been provided.
Ms. Jubilee responded, verbatim: “I don’t care.”
When I stated that this was not an acceptable way to operate an event, her demeanor escalated. She demanded that my entire group leave the area. Members of my party became visibly distressed and humiliated; at least one person was crying due to the confrontation.
Multiple witnesses have since reported that Ms. Jubilee placed her hands on one of my nominated VIP guests while attempting to physically remove him from the seating area.
Ms. Jubilee then approached venue staff and accused me of harassment and verbal assault, demanded that I be removed from the venue, and explicitly requested that I not be refunded. These accusations were false.
I calmly spoke with a Sony Hall manager, Kirill, who listened to the facts, apologized, acknowledged that the night was out of control, and authorized a refund. Sony Hall subsequently processed the refund.
Since that night, I have received no communication whatsoever from Cherry Jubilee or Robert Levine regarding:
the false accusations
the physical contact with a guest
the denial of seating
or the broader operational failures
The only remediation came from Sony Hall — not from event leadership.
This interaction reflects a pattern of:
disregard for paying guests
abuse of authority
escalation into false allegations
and a complete absence of accountability afterward
